Several months ago, IGG’s anticipated free-to-play hack-n-slash action MMO “2029 Online” was slated to enter Alpha. And then, the day of … it didn’t. The publisher told players (and press) that some newly discovered bugs would prevent the game from going live, and that we would be updated “soon.”
After a few months of little information and lots of “coming soon!” assurances, “2029 Online’s” Alpha test is finally live. (And, just to make sure it was really working this time, I even downloaded, installed, and played for a bit last night.)
The game is a hack-n-slash action title similar to “Diablo II,” except in a persistent online world, and with sci-fi themes. And tanks. As pets.
If you happened to be lucky enough to get a key for the Alpha phase and want to try out the MMO you may have forgotten about, head on over to the official “2029 Online” site to download and register. In the meantime, the closed beta will begin June 3. (Or so IGG is saying.) When it does go live, check back at MMOHub for a chance to get a key to enter the game’s closed beta stage.
